Have saved your message hoping to have more concrete evidence to compare but
unsuccessful. My grandfather, Arthur, SS application states he was born in
Greenfield, Highland Co., OH in 1882. They have been unable to find a birth
record for him. He married an Sarah Lyle and they had one son born before
1908 in Fayette Co., IN. His grandfather might have been a James Davidson
who married an Eliza Gaar in Wayne Co., IN in 1839. I remember cousins
with last names of Schneider and Pollitt. Have also been recommended to
check through Robert Davidson in Mason Co., KY around 1770.
I have seen reference to my grandfather's name being James Arthur and Arthur
James but SS application states only Arthur. I have been unsuccessful to
this point in finding information in Highland Co., OH. Would any of these
individuals be listed in your database of information?
