William Taylor Davis- b 2-20-1897 MD d 1-7-1939 Keyser, WV
son of Wm. F. Davis and Conzodia Wilson Davis (they are buried
in R.B. Dean Cemetery, Elk Garden, WV.

Elmira Della Leatherman- b-8-5-1883 Mineral Cnty d -9-3-1915 in
Blaine, WV. Daughter of Amos Leatherman and Laura Shears
Leatherman.

William T. & Della married 11-4-1905 in Elk Garden, WV

Their Children:

Elsie Louise Davis born 9-26-1905 Elk Garden, WV (deathdate
unknown)

James Richard Davis born 12-23-1907 Elk Garden, WV
d-1-16-1928
in Keyser, from a gunshot wound to the abdomen, he was shot
by a Mrs.
Likens, while attempting to break into her house.

Willie Paul Davis born-8-1-1911 in Elk Garden supposedly


still alive
and living somewhere in Ohio.

I searched and found the graves of William Taylor and James R Davis this past


September. They are buried on the left side of the Nethkin Hill Church (if
you're facing the church) right by the entry road into the Cemetery, not far
from the entrance. However, there was no marker for Della. Della is my
Great Aunt, and I would like to find her grave. There were fairly fresh
flowers on W. Taylor and James, so I believe there must still be some living
friends or relatives in the area, that may know where Della is buried. Any
informatin would be greatly appreciated.

After Della's death Taylor married an Ida Maria Gregory and they had a
daughter
who was named Canzadia Victoria Davis, born Emoryville, WV 10-19-1922.
and a son named Jack, but I'm not sure when he was born, they may have also
had 2 other children.


I am also hoping that perhaps if anyone had any info on Taylor and Della,
they may have some info on Della's Dad, Amos Leatherman, who died from some
sort of accident in Elk Garden, in Sept. 1897 at the age of 36.

If anyone has any information on any of the above, or could look up
obituaries, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Buddy

* I posted the above query to the WVMineral-L list and the Davis-L list in
March.

I received a reply from a lady who's first name was Candy (Kandy) and I
believe her last name was Kurt? In her reply she let me know she had plenty
of information on this family, and asked that I contact her again, if I
hadn't heard back from her in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, my
computer crashed, and I lost her email address, if she is still on either
list, or anybody on the list knows her email address, it would be very much
appreciated if she could contact me again, or I can contact her if I have her
email address. I have been looking for this information for a long time.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
