DAVIS, Irene (niece of Fred S. Norton)

is listed among the dead in the 1900 Galveston, Texas Hurricane.

I'm assuming that since Irene is listed as the niece of Fred, that she was visiting from elsewhere. Does anyone know who Irene's parents were and where she was from?
