LA FOLLETTE AUTO HITS BOY.
Senator's Son, Driving the Machine, Runs Down Negro Lad.
Senator Robert L. La Follette's automobile, operated by his son, Robert L.
jr., yesterday ran down Lucifer Brown, colored, 8 years old, while the boy
was playing in front of his home, 1011 Corcoran street northwest. The boy
was taken in the senator's car to the EmerÂgency Hospital, where it was
stated that he was suffering from concussion of the brain and lacerations of
the face. His condition is not critical,it was said.
The senator's son told the police that young Brown ran out from behind a
buggy, and that he did not see him in time to avoid the accident.
