MISS TAFT AT WARRENTON.
Members of House Party Being Entertained by Mrs. James K. Maddux.

Warrenton, Va., April 3. - Miss Helen Taft, accompanied by Miss Gladys
Ingalls, of Cincinnati, who is spending the winter in Washington; Capt.
Symington and Dr. Carey T. Grayson, of the U. S. S. Mayflower, and Lieut. A.
Andrews, U. S. N., arrived here this afternoon, to be the guests of Mrs.
James K. Maddux, at Leeton Hall, until Thursday afternoon. The party was
entertained at tea this afternoon and at a dinner tonight by Mrs. Maddux.
Among the guests for dinner, besides the party and hostess were Mr. and Mrs.
Richard Wallach, Mr. and Mrs. Courtland H. Smith, and Mr. and Mrs. Grafton
Beall.
On Thursday morning the party will go out as the guests of the Warrenton
Hunt Club, for a fox hunt, after which Mrs. Maddux will entertain at
luncheon. The guests for this event will be, besides the party, Mrs. F. A.
B. Portman, Miss Annie Camden Spillman, and Mr. and Mrs. William F. Wilbur.
Later, on Thursday, an exhibition of schooling and jumping will be given
by Mrs. Maddux, in Lee Hall paddock, of the magnificent horses of Mr. and
Mrs. Maddux. After this the party will be entertained with a few friends by
Mrs. William C. Marshall, at Pembroke, and will return to Washington on the
evening train.
