HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!

The African-American Genealogy Group of Philadelphia will have it next monthly meeting on Tuesday, January 14, 2003, 7-9 pm, at the Community College of Philadelphia, West Philadelphia Regional Branch, 4725 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA.

Our speaker will be Allen Mitchell, AAGG member and author of "Wadmalaw, Leaving Traditional Roots Behind." Mr. Mitchell is a native South Carolinian born on a remote sea island called Wadmalaw. His book is a beautiful compilation of historic documents, ephemera, photos, poems, and personal interviews, he also speaks Gullah fluently, which will be a treat for those attending this meeting.
