The following families lived in the Mill Creek area of New Castle,DE.
They descend from Nicholas and Dorcas BISHOP of Mill Creek Hundred.

I have a copy of Sarah BISHOP's Will, probated 6 Feb 1847. She lists her
son, Joshua B.BARKER, as her Executor. A David BISHOP is mentioned as
being 'On Account', but no other reference other than witness to the
document. Other names mentioned are: George LOBB, David BALL, Robert
M.SPRINGER, John FOOTE, Joshua H. CHANDLER, Amos WICKERSHAM and Louis H.
JOHNSON.

I also have a copy of John BISHOP's 'Settlement of his Estate', dated 11
Feb. 1841. He was born 29 March 1750,and his parents were John BISHOP Sr
and Elizabeth JORDAN. I believe he died intestate,since there was no
Will recorded. The Settlement mentions personal property assessed, going
to his 'widow', and also mentions the purchase of personal property by
Sarah BISHOP, David BISHOP, Jesse BISHOP, Joshua B.BARKER, James
DELAPLAIN, James CROSSAN, Benjamin LOBB, Joshua CHANDLER.

>From this document it appears that Sarah BISHOP is John BISHOP's
daughter, or possibly some other close relative. Does anyone have any
information on these family members?
