Subject: [DeCamp] DeCamp brick walls - #2: Ezekiel DeCamp of NJ and NY
Date: Tue, 1 Jan 2002 20:06:31 EST
This is one of several postings that I will make about the "brick walls" that
I have run into. These are DeCamp families that I have been unable to
connect to the known descent from Laurens Jansen DeCamp.
Ezekiel DeCamp, b. ca. 1757 in Middlesex Co., NJ, married Rachel Moore, in
1781 in Scotch Plains, NJ. Records suggest that they had eleven children, of
whom I have identified further descent for five (up to four generations in
one line). The names of other associated families are Stewart, Austin,
Stammler, Baker and Patten. It's unclear where his children lived, but one
line appears to have located in Schuyler Co., NY.
Almost all of the information on this line comes from Ezekiel's Revolutionary
War pension application.
