GPS caveat. Most USGS topo maps are based on the 1927 North American
Datum (NAD). Alas, the world is not as round as it once was!. Most
modern GPS instruments are set for the 1983 NAD. Failure to remember
this has caused mariners to run aground when using older marine charts
based on 1927 NAD! Take this into account when you use a property point
found and located with GPS coordinates.
