To ensure that threads stay together, you only need to select the "Reply"
function of your e-mail program. Thus your reply will use the same subject
as the original message. If you are replying to a message included in a
digest, then you should be sure to make the Subject of your reply the same
as shown in the message to which you are replying (not the Digest
Subject). Finally, make sure the To address of your reply is set to the
proper list address <>. This will
normally be the "Reply-To:" of the message, but there may be someone who
has their own address in the "Reply-To:" field (this is set in their e-mail
program and should normally be empty).

So unless you are replying to a message in a digest, about all you need to
do is select your e-mail program's Reply function. The rest (above) should
be checked but you normally should not have to do anything else.

As for rich-text or other coding, Rootsweb's servers don't like it and
prefer plain text. This prevents problems with viruses in the unlikely
event that one could get through RootsWeb's filters.
