RE: GPS point coverages
Here's a neat way to create maps of GPS point features such as barns, houses, springs, sinkholes, cemeteries, etc. Two maps - one for natural features and another for man made features - are helpful. You can display one or both on top of your deeds. A Deedmapper background map (streams, roads, etc.) is necessary for this to work
Append a 'dummy' deed, add GPS points, and then enter one metes and bounds item e.g. Pt [blank] Ln n; p;. You must enter something for "Ln." See sample below.
! Abstracting info.
Re GPS Layer of man made structures
gps N37/40/40; W84/57/23; Goodnight's 1781 SE Corner
gps N37.67815; W84.96117; Hankla House
gps N37/39/01; w84/57/06; Perryville
! Metes and bounds. "Beginning at..."
Ln n; p;
! 'End' means the survey has returned to its beginning point
