Could it be a problem with the file size?

I am using a huge TIFF that I downloaded from the USGS Seamless Server in 10
50-60MB pieces and then pasted together in Photoshop. The resulting image
is 561MB and covers all of Campbell Co., VA and parts of the surrounding
counties. It loads surprizingly quickly in DM and is very manageable--no
real lag in zooming or panning.

However, if I attempt to open a second MBL displaying the same image, it
will not display. Likewise, if I uncheck the "Enable" setting for this
image and Enable a second one, the second image will not display at all. It
isn't hidden under the first one, since that one has been disabled.

Also, in troubleshooting I have always closed all instances of DM then
reopened one or more in each of the scenarios above and previously
mentioned.

Thanks,
David
