I would like to know where your Jacob Emerson lived in De. Was it Kent County? I saw another Jacob listed for New Castle, de. I received from the De. Archives today a document that lists Jacob and Manlove Emerson as appraisers for Rebecca Corse of Kent County, De. I am trying to find out the names of the children of Rebecca and William Corse. Wm., her husband died by 1788, and the court required an inventory of his estate because he died intestate. Jacob and Manlove were the appraisers for the inventory.
I also have Bowers in my genealogy. Elizabeth Bowers, married William Corse ( 1729-1785), and lived in Kent Co. De. I believe her fathers name was William too. She was the mother of my ggg grandfather, Capt. John Corse of the Rev. War. Capt. John was married twice and I descend from his eldest child of his 2nd marriage, James ALfred Corse. James came to Marshall Co., Ind. about 1834, and lived there the remainder of his life (1812-1888). His son, Arthur Corse, served in the Civil War and then attended law school in Ann Arbor Michigan. Later went to Rolla, Mo., and practiced law with a brother of his mothers......I would be interested in knowing the information you have about the early Bowers family. I have also seen the name Lowber in some of my research, but at the moment can't remember in what file it would be in.
Am interested in hearing from you.
