Can anyone tell me about St. Peter's churchyard in Smyrna, DE? I have a Sarah Hill Sinex buried there and need to know who she is buried with ..is it part of a Hill plot? She was widowed about 1835 and moved to Kent Co. with young children. Her stone in St. Peter's was erected by her children. Who were they? Olga

Hi Ed and List-
I am casting a large net over a wide area, as I know my Worcester, MD Clarks
tie into the Sussex and Kent and possibly New Castle Co., DE Clarks.
Richard Clark died in 1822 in Balt, Hundred, Sussex, DE and he named a son
Sydenham Thorn Clark, as you well know, as you are from Milford, Sydenham
Clark was co-founder of Milford, DE. That seems to me Richard Clark had
connections to Milford. Also, a John Clark, yeoman of Mispillion, died
leaving a will, proved 13 March 1782, Sydenhan Thorn was a witness to this
John Clark's will.
There is a Wmn Clark of New Castle, DE, mentioning a nephew, Richard, below
Calendar of wills, New Castle Co., DE, page 99, will of William Clark N.C.
Hundred Feb 13 1783 - Feb 25 1783
sister, Margaret; Allice, Ann, and Elizabeth Clark, daughters of brother,
John Clark, dec'd; Richard, William and John Clark, sons of brother, John
Clark, dec'd. Exec. brother-in-law, William Armor.
I am in the process of proving my ancestor, Albertus Clark (1825-1903 ), of
Berlin, Worc. Co., MD was a base born grandson of Richard Clark that died in
1821 in Sussex, DE and looking for Richard Clark's ancestors. Richard Clark
in his 1821 will, names daughters; Sally, Polly, and Peggy sons; Elijah
Bell, William and Sydenham Thorn Clark.
So, Ed, I'm casting a wide net and not sure what I'm looking for, just
anything Clark !!
Happy Thanksgivng to you and all on the list as well.
