We are searching for the same family!!
Enoch Jones was born Feb 11, 1768, and died 26 Jan 1851, according to his tombstone. He married (1) Ann Griffin, probably in Kent Co. DE, around 1795-1798. Their first son and 3 daughters were almost certainly born in DE, and all together, they had about 15 children, of which I have documented 6 and have some reasonable guesses on 3 more. Some of these children might have died in infancy. Enoch & Ann's daughter, Hester b. 1814 in (W)VA, was my 3-great grandmother.
Around 1800, they removed to Monongalia Co. (W)VA, where Enoch had previously (c1798) purchased at least 400 acres. He was a justice of the peace while living there.
Ann died in May 1821, and by 1823, Enoch and his family were in Gallatin Co. KY, where he married (2) Sally, the widow of Joseph Holliday/Haladay. I strongly suspect that Enoch & Sally had met previously - before they both left Delaware. Sally had 4 children by Joseph Holliday, and Enoch & Sally had at least one more child.
About 1824, this large family removed to Sangamon Co. IL, where Hester married George David Simms in April 1832. By 1840, many of Enoch's children and related in-laws were living in Knox/Mercer Co. IL, according to census data.
It is not clear to me that Enoch was married to the Jane "Jones" who was enumerated in his household in 1850. Their age difference was quite large, 21 years, and I wonder if this Jane might not have been one of Enoch's children or perhaps the wife of a deceased son.
In all of my research on Enoch Jones, I too have run across Benjamin Jones. Enoch's father, also named Enoch, did not mention any Benjamin in his will, and I have not found any connection between this Benjamin and my Enoch. There is a chance that Benjamin might have been a cousin to my Enoch's father, but I have not yet been able to identify Enoch the Elder's brothers & sisters.
This is just a summary of the information that I have on Enoch Jones & his family - I am always happy to share.
