Dear Listers,

I would like to know whether there is anybody on the list who is
researching families named Robinson (possibly Robertson and Robeson).
In particular, I am looking for people of those names who might have
lived in or had ties to Philadelphia in the 1700s. I have an ancestor
named Alice or Elsie Robinson who married in Philadelphia in 1778, and I
have been unable to find her parents there. Could she have been from
Delaware?

I suspect that she was from a family with Loyalist leanings as she
married a man in the British army just before the Tories were evacuated
from Philadelphia to New York City.

Any clues will be gratefully received.
