Subject: [DELAWARE] Dupont gun powder plant

My gg grandfather was supposedly killed in an explosion at the Dupont
gun powder plant on the Brandywine River in DE in late 1815 or early
1816. Can anyone tell me if such a plant existed and if so where.

I would also be interested in any information on the plant or how I
might go about finding something out about this accident.
