Hello,
My name is Madeleine Gr=E5hns-Aurelien and I'm a 27-year-old Swede living=
in=0ABoston. I found your e-mail address through some online research, a=
nd I'm=0Ahoping you could help me.
Here goes:
My grandfather, Martin Gr=E5hns, was part of the celebrations when New Sw=
eden=0Aturned 300 years back in 1938. He was one of the singers in the ch=
orus "Orphei=0ADr=E4ngar" that performed during the festivities.
Martin, who passed away already, was born year 1898 which is 100 years ag=
o=0Athis year. I've therefore arranged a Memorial in Sweden this summer, =
and=0Ainvited all relatives.
Now, I'm trying to collect some old articles, pictures and possibly even =
some=0Arecordings of him and/or "Orphei Dr=E4ngar" to bring to the memori=
al, and I'm=0Ahoping to retrieve something from his trip to New Sweden, w=
hich of course back=0Athen was a tremendous trip.
Do you know were I could find any material from the celebrations?
I would be most grateful for any kind of help.
