I overllooked a lilltle additional information about Elizabeth Pierce in my
original message and I apologize for the extra message.
Elizabeth's marriage record of 1883 lists her age as 20 yrs and her middle
initial as S.
Also, her husband, Henry was listed as "Farmer" at that time. NO parent info
on either.

Hello ALL,
Seeking any information or advice on a Del born GGgrandmother, Elizabeth
Pierce. I know VERY little about her and not much hope of finding her info.
The little I do know is, Elizabeth was born in Delaware.
She married a Henry W. Read of Philadelphia, PA in Phila. The marriage was
performed by a Baptist minister in South Phila. on May 23,1883.
Henry's family was Lutheran.
They had at least one daughter, Caroline Alexandria born in Phila Jan 9,1888.
Henry W. Read died Jun 12, 1896 in Phila "Suicide by shooting". Henry was a
Phila policeman at time of death. I believe Henry's family were mostly farmers
and gardners and I also believe Elizabeth's family may have been farmers as
well. I haven't been able to find any Elizabeth Read's (widows) in the Phila
directories after 1896, so maybe she went back to Del ?
Any info, advice or suggestions are most sincerely appreciated.
