Subject: [DENEWCAS] Russells in Brandywine/Wilmington 1850's

Decided to post again with crossed fingers - My immigrant Russells arrived in DE in the early 1850's. Edward, Timothy, Patrick, James and Michael worked for DuPont 1854-55. In 1855 Michael and his wife, Mary Shilly had daughter Julia. She was baptized at St. Joseph's on the Brandywine. Married in 1856 at St. Joseph's - Edward m. Sarah McCormick, Timothy m. Margaret Martin, Catherine m. Thomas Davin. I believe Patrick and James were already married. My gg-grandparents were Edward and Sarah McCormick Russell. They had the following children: Julia b. 1857, Thomas b. 1859, Sarah b. 1861, John and James (my great grandfather) b. 1862, Patrick b. 1865, Martin b. 1867, Mary b. 1870. I believe Mary became a nun. I have no idea where any of the other kids went. Does anyone know anything of this family? I believe Edward died before 1880. Have not been able to find record of his death. Any help? I've been at a brick wall with this line for years.
