    David Jones of Blockley.  Buried 6 Mo. 27, 1725.  David Jones
arrived on the "Ship Lyon", and was a "First settler" in Blockley.  His
wife was Katharine.
    Their children were, James, b. 1699;  John, 1697;  Susannah, 1702; 
Lewis,
b. 1705;  David, b. 1706;  Isaac, b. 1708.
    James (b. 1699) m. (1) Hannah Hayes, dau.  Richard Hayes of
Haverford, 1727.   (2) Mary Wynne, widow, of Blockley.
    Lewis (b. 1705) m. eleanor Lawrence, dau. Henry Lawrence (son of
David and Eleanor Ellis Lawrence) of Haverford, and his wife Ellin
William (daughter of William ap Edward of Blockley).

    Will proved Sept. 22, 1725.  Mentions wife Katharine.  Son Lewis. 
Children, James, John, Lewis, Isaac, Jacob, David, Susannah, Ellin. 
Overseers, Brethren, John and Robert Jones.  Friends, Robert Roberts,
Edward William.  Mentions John Warner.  Witnesses, John Coppock, George

    The Jones homestead stood until recently near what is now the corner
of Sixty-Second Street and Lancaster Avenue, Philadelphia (Old Blockley
Township.)

    8, 10, 1727.  James Jones of Blockley, Phila.  and Hannah Hayes,
dau.  Richard Hayes of Haverford, at Haverford Meeting House.  Wit: 
Katharine, John Robert, Ellin, John, Jr., Lewis, Susanna, David, Isaac
and Gerrard Jones;  Richard, Elizabeth, Joseph and Hannah Hayes.

    10, 19, 1732.  Lewis Jones of Blockley, and Katharine Jones, dau. of
Thomas Jones of Merion, at Merion Meeting House.  Wit:  Katharine, John,
Robert, James, John, Isaac, Evan, Susanna, Eliz., Jacob, Ann, Mary,
Chas. and Jonathan Jones.

    2, 4, 1733.  Wm. Lewis, son of Wm. late of Newtown, dec'd, and
Susanna Jones, dau. of David of Blockley, dec'd, at Newtown M. H. Wit:
Lewis, Evan, Enos, and Wm. Lewis; Katharine, John, Robert, James, Lewis,
Isaac, Jacob, Robt. Jr. and Evan Jones.

    Isaac (b. 1708) settled in Montgomery and m. Eliz. dau. of Geo. Lewis
(1728).

    Isaac Jones was b. 7 Mo. 5, 1708.  He died 1798;  his wife,
Elizabeth, 1800.  They had lived together 70 years.  In 1746, Isaac
Jones purchased land of Thomas Lewis.  Isaac and Elizabeth had a son
Isaac, who married Gainor Ambler (daughter of John Ambler and Ann
Foulke, his wife.)  Isaac, Jr. died 1840, aged 92;  and Gainor d. 1847,
aged 92.  Isaac's sister Ruth died at the age of 88.

    The name Richard Hayes is on Dr. Smith's Map - Located in Haverford,
on Cobb Creek, near the borders of Marple and Darby.  Henry Lawrence, in
Haverford, near the central part of the township, next to David
Lawrence, Lewis, William and Evan Lewis, in Newtown township, near
Goshen Road.
   
    John, the son of John Roberts Matthew, 9 Mo. 14, 1725.  Son of John
Roberts of Merion and Jane David, his wife, who married 10 Mo. 27, 1710.
   
    Matthew Roberts, son of John Roberts Matthew, 9 Mo. 27, 1725.  Son
of John Roberts and Jane David, his wife, who were married 10 Mo. 27,
1710.

    Owen Roberts, Merion.  Son of Hugh and Jonne Roberts.  He was
Collector of Imposts, 1716-23.  High Sheriff, 1716-23.  Treasurer,
1712-16.
    Will proved Dec. 29, 1725.  Mentions wife Ann, Brother, Edward
Roberts.  Brother-in-law, Evan Bevan and Robert Jones, trustees. 
Uncles, John Roberts and Griffith John.  Overseers of children - names
not
mentioned.  Witnesses, Griffith John, Evan Owen, John Roberts, Robert
Jones.

    Owen Roberts married Ann Bevan, at Merion Meeting House, 1 Mo. 23,
1696-7.  Witnesses, Robert Roberts;  John, Evan, Elinor and Barbara
Bevan.
    Children of Owen Roberts and Anne Bevan, his wife, were:  Hugh (b.
5, 30, 1699);  John (b. 8, 12, 1701);  Jane (b. 4, 2, 1703);  Aubrey (b.
4, 24, 1705);  Owen (d. inf.);  Owen (b. 8, 23, 1711).
    Owen Roberts was member of Common Council, Phila.  1711.  Member of
Provincial Assembly, 1711.
