Charles Crowe a tract of land containing 150 acres, being haalf of a
tract called Chesterfield near Appoquinimink adjoining land of Hans
Hanson, he other half belonging to John Cox.
Deed. 16-Aug-1698. Benjamin Cox for in consideration of a competent
sum, granted to Benony EWmpson all the right to his within mentioned

Marsh of Kent Co., MD...tract of land called Good Land containing 1280
acres situate on the north side of Duck Creek near the thoroughfare
formerly belonging to Ephriam Harman as by 2 patents from Sir Edmund
Andros, Gov. of New York, one granted to Ephriam Harman dated
24-Sep-1680 for 500 acres, te other granted to Lawrence Cock atd
14-Oct-1680 for 700 acres, residue of said 1280 acres and 2 deeds of
enforcement from Lawrence Cock to Ephriam Harman, one dated
14-Oct-1680 & the other dated 04-Apr-1682 for the said 700 acres.
Whereas there is a piece of aforementioned 1/4 part belonging to John
Wood bounded by the Marsh next to Duck Creek, land of...John
Cock...containing 200 acres known as the Venture...

Cann to the sd William Cann. Delivered in the presence of Peter Cocks.
Deed. 27-May-1719. William Cocks of Christiana Creek and NCC, yeoman,
for 16 pounds 5 shillings 6 pence sold unto Jacob Stilly of same Co.,
yeoman, a certain tract of land situate on north side of Christiana
Creek in sd, Co. Rhis property formerly belonged to Justaf Cock
[sic]..containing 50 acres...
Deed. 19-May-1756 Daniel Few of Christiana Hd., NCC, innkeeper and
Hester his wife...sold unto Joseph Gilpin...miller, 3 tracts of
land...containing 97 acres. The first tract, containig 100 acres, Adam
Stidham became seized of by a warrant from Wm. Penn in 1683/4. And
whereas sd heirs of sd Stidham by theor Deed poll dated 16-Nov-1732 did
grant and convey sd land unto Andrew Cock. And whereas sd Cock bt his
indenture dated 31-Oct-1748, granted a part on the east side of same
unto Daniel Few...
Deed. 10-Jun-1755. John Dixon of Mill Creek Hd., NCC, for 150 pounds,
sold unto John Richardson of Christiana Hd., NCC, merchant, 2 parcels of
land containing 349 acres herein described. Whereas William Penn in
1701 granted 15,500 acres, both in Chester Co. and NCC to his daughter
Letitia, who after intermarried with Wm. Abrey. Together they appointed
James Logan and Rees Thomas as their Attnys and said Attnys appointed to
Wm. Cox a parcel of sd land situate in Mill Creek Hd., NCC...and sd. Cox
and Catherine his wife sold 2 parcels of land unto John Dixon--except
half an acre where the meeting house stands.
