Dear Marty, I'm reading over letters again, trying to see through this maze.
I feel that it is before our eyes - but there's still that one missing
piece - or else we are both blind. I can make guesses which seem to be
right, and you are doing that also I'm sure. Lewis has been my clue since
my Adelia named her son Lewis R Findlay. But there are so many Lewises!

I have been able, I think, to eliminate the Chester and Delaware County
Reeces for the moment, as we have plenty in New Castle Co to choose from.
And their name patterns are different. For me, I'm looking seriously at
Thomas and Ezekiel. There was a son Thomas Findlay, and no Ezekiel. But
Ezekiel was in the right place at the right time.

I just found another clue, and I'm not sure from whence it came! I have a
one spot Adelia with an H following. Since her sons were Lewis R and David
C I am going to assume that it was standing for someone for whom she was
named. Which means I need to start looking at all the H families in New
Castle Co to find an Adelia!!! And then, if found, try to make the
connection to my Adelia. What a fun, impossible job! Meanwhile I keep
reading and rereading all that you have found. I decided that the marriage
isn't going to help as it was in the newspaper and not at Dover State of
Records that I found it. There probably wasn't a certificate. I know that
they were married as Asbury Church which was a Methodist Church, so no
longer connected to the Episcopalian Church. I wrote to Peter Craig about
the St James records but have not yet had an answer.

> Cathy, the two wills definitely put Thomas, Lewis and John together as
brothers. Elizabeth Dushane's will refers to the three brother's as sons of
her mother's oldest brother, John Rees. I'd love to know who and how the
William Rees is connected.
