Thanks to an umpteenth cousin in the Husbands line, I have some information
for you.
There were three Husbands brothers, parents unknown at this time:
# 1 James, b. abt 1750, m. Rachel ?, had Mary Husbands, b. January 1778, who
m. Jesse Husbands, b. 01 August 1789 (do not have anything on him).
#2 John, b. abt 1740, d. unknown, m. 23 December 1762 Mary Woolbutt, had 6
children:
Mary, b. 05 April 1765, m. William Smith, b. abt 1760
Peter, b. 28 September 1768
Rebecca, b. 29 August 1773
John, b. 18 March 1775 (this is all I have on him)
Adolphus, b. 04 August 1777, d. 15 March 1846, m. 27 May 1803 Mary Ford
, b. 1779, d. 20 October 1844 (I have 3 children for them, one of whom married
a Husband cousin)
Catherine, b. 16 January 1783
#3 William, b. abt 1750, d. 1820, m. 12 March 1777 Margaret Megarrough, had
one son (that we know of)
William, b. 20 December 1786, d. 06 January 1856, m. 1) 28 March 1811
Jane McBride, b. 19 February 1789, d. 07 July 1869, had 4 children ; m. 2) 17
February 1850 Hannah P. McFarlan, b. 10 December 1827, d. 04 April 1908, had 7
children. William and Jane are buried in Newark Union Cemetery.
If you want more info on any of the children, please let me know.
