Suzie....Read with interest your call for details about early Dutch Ancestors
in Delaware. Wish I could supply some helpful data, but I'm several paces
behind you in searching for early details of my New Castle Co (ST George's
Hundred), DE HYATT folks. My line seems to run to a Peter Hyatt ca 1716 in that
area with possible ties to the New Amsterdam settlement in NY. I've only
recently written some of the main depositories in Netherlands seeking clues to my
HYATT people & where in that country they may have originated. Along the way,
I've seen early 1700-1800family intermarriage ties with other Dutch families
in Delaware including King, Vandegrift, & Vance. Sorry to report I'd not
noticed your Van Burkelo surname before. Anyway Suzie you've done well with the
results you've described. I trust you'll even find more details soon.
