Hello,
Quite a bit of research has been done on the Vandegrift family. They first
came to New Amsterdam before 1644. The family eventually settled in
Bensalem, Bucks County, PA. Many lines did go to New Castle County Delaware--my own
line stayed in and around Bucks County.
As someone else mentioned, the family is discussed in the King Family
Genealogy . Betty Allen has a website with her research and the research of others:
_Vandergrift Genealogy and More!_ (http://members.tripod.com/vandergrift/)
This link will take you to a list of descendents and some details on the
family
_Descendants of Anthonius VAN DER GRIFT_
(http://members.tripod.com/vandergrift/descend.htm)

I do have a book called Vandegrift "A Working Tool" by Williams and Bradley.
I would be happy to do lookups.
Kathy
