Hi Walter,

I know that we all take short cuts but I would be remiss if I did not say
that the correct procedure, having found a listing of interest in the DEA
database, is to view a microfilm of the original. There are ALWAYS
mistakes made in transcription and you never know if it was made in the
case of your particular interest. Also, in the microfilm, you will see the
adjacent entries which may also be of interest.

Having said that, there are inventive ways to fill in the search form such
as looking for the persons who had the adjacent contract numbers, getting a
list of everyone who emigrated from that parish, getting a list of everyone
who indicated an intent to go to the same destination, getting a list of
everyone who registered with the Copenhagen police on the same day, etc.
