You willprobably be told this by every one and his brother. BUT here I go:

To do any research on families in Denmark (especially those whose names end
in -sen, you need to know the parish (sogn) from which they came. All
records are one way or another parish based.

Once you have a parish then you need to heigh yourself to the local Family
History Center (run by the LDS) and order the microfilm(s) for your parish.
Those will be your birth, marriage and death records (plus some other
information), you can also search in the Census records. Some of those are
on line (not mine yet unhappily) but even here you need to know the parish.

If you have dates, names and location your set for a LOT of information.
