Subject: Sv: [DK] How do I say "from the West"?
Date: Thu, 2 Aug 2001 21:46:19 +0200

Hej Lesley,

Personally I would say "fra den australske østkyst/vestkyst" or "fra det østlige/vestlige Australien".......I suppose it's just as right to say "fra Øst-Australien/Vest-Australien", I just wouldn't use it (don't know why.....maybe because I think the first two "sound" better...) :-)
Anyways, you definitely wouldn't say "fra Western Australia".....

:-) Birgitte
