Ralph and Tim - I am coming into this conversation if you don't mind.
My maternal great grandfather, Johan Peter Jensen, was awarded Lot #162
per Free Grants Document dated 12th January 1884, copies of which papers I
have.
I have been to the location of this lot, and had my photo taken with
another relative, right in front. Currently it is still vacant. A house was
built, but I have been told that it was moved to another location, near
Salmonhurst village.
I do have a couple of Family Books, which I will have to look up to see
if I can find the name of Edvard Petersen.
My family members in New Denmark, actually come from two separate
families that came from Denmark, and my grandmother is from one family
(Johan Peter Jensen & Abelone Mikkelsen from Sondermark, Vejle area, and my
grandfather is from another (Christian Johann Petersen from near
Dronninglund in Northern Jutland, Ă–ster Hassing Parish).
