Looking for any information on the origins of Fred SORENSEN, a blacksmith,
who was born c. 1870 in Denmark. He arrived in Indiana, USA about 1889. He
married Kjirstine Marie Pedersen (b.9 Feb 1872, Feldballe, Randers) about
1895. Unfortunately, we do not know Fred's origins in Denmark, or whether
or not the marriage took place in Denmark or Indiana.
Fred was a blacksmith in Cicero, Indiana. There is a newspaper article (an
undated clipping) from the Indianapolis News celebrating Fred¹s 61 years at
the shop in Cicero (he had also celebrated his 80th birthday in the article
written about 1950). The article also suggested that he had lived in Cicero
since 1885. Fred passed away in 1957.
Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
