Hi Inge,

I ordered a copy of a 1874 Cook County marriage license from the depository
in Chicago. When it arrived it was only the front. I telephoned Chicago
and asked about the back. I was told that Cook County didn't get around to
putting anything on the back until about 1902. Apparently Will County was
way ahead of them. So it is a county-by-county proposition. I owe them a
dollar for the copy.
