G'day Anita,

Here goes.........

"Har været Soldat"
- Has been a soldier (i.e. he's served his regular conscript time)

"Moderen hedder Bodil Larsdatter"
- The mothers name is Bodil Larsdatter

"Landartillerist"
- Someone conscripted to serve in the local militia,as an
artillery soldier. (supposed to be local defence force at a
time when Denmark was under constant war threats)

I am hoping that someone can translate the following phrases for me from
Danish 1787 and 1801 census records. They are:

"Har været soldat" (I understand that soldat is soldier)

"Moderen hedder Bodil Larsdatter" (Bodil is the mother of the man who the
above description was written)

"Landartillerist"

Thanks a lot!
Anita
