A rather interesting person!
But I would like to make a few remarks.
He claimed to be born in 1777 which means that he was 96 years old when he
died in 1873. A remarkable age in the 18th century!
He claimed to have served in Danish privateers (in 1801) in the campaign to
exclude British vessels from the Baltic during the Napoleonic wars, and then
returned to England about 1802. But there were only Danish privateers in
second English war 1807-1814!
The only match in both the 1787 and 1801 census is this one:
kbhv, København (Staden), Vester Kvarter, Vester Kvarter, , Matr. 87, 370,
FT-1801
Jens Hansen Falk, 40 , Gift, Huusbonde, Vandmæster (Vandmester),
Marie Esmann, 40 , Gift, hans Kone, ,
Hans Falk, 10 , Ugift, Huusbondens Sønner af 1ste ægteskab, ,
Niels Falk, 6 , Ugift, Huusbondens Sønner af 1ste ægteskab, ,
Both children are from Jens Hansen Falk's first marriage, hence their mother
must have died between 1795 and 1801.
Could it be that he simply lied about his age?
