Charles W. Rasmussen, age 88, of Fort Atkinson, passed away Thursday,
Dec. 29, 2005, at the Fort Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Rasmussen was born Dec. 24, 1917, in Ogdensburg, son of the late
Karl and Carrie Mortensen Rasmussen. He married the former Marjorie
Smith of Manawa on Nov. 12, 1939. She died June 24, 2001. A World War II
United States Army veteran, Mr. Rasmussen moved to the Fort Atkinson
area from Shawano in 1992. He had been employed as a car salesman.

Surviving include a son, David (Susan) of Helenville; a daughter, Carol
Green of Quincy, Ill.; and four grandchildren. He also was preceded in
death by two sisters, Lenore Cross and Alice Idsen.

There will be no formal services. Following cremation burial will take
place at Little Wolf Cemetery in Manawa. Dunlap Memorial Home is
assisting the family.
