I can't find him in the census. Here's my question Bonnie-- where
did you get the birth information for him? Unfortunately the
Vesterborg census for 1870 isn't transcribed yet. I'll see if I can
look on Arkivalieronline later today. I don't know what to tell you
about how to get it to work. Did you try using a different browser to
download it? Paula

christening record for 26 Feb 1826 that gives the names of the
parents as Christen
Anderson JYDE and Malne Petersdr. That may be some help but I was
not able to
bring up anyone named Malne. And I suspect the anderson is really
Andersen,. I
was told that Peder and Pedar are more common than Peter on Maribo. My
ancestor Peder Ib Nielsen became Peter Nelson in the US. I did not
find JYDE
either. Some of our more knowledgeable listers likely have better
answers, but
Vesterborg was Peder Ib Nielsen's home.
