Greetings fellow Dennis Researchers,

I'm new to the group so I am told that the first order of business is for me
to layout for you the DENNIS family data that I currently have in hopes that
some of you out there will be able to connect up with me somewhere back along
the line.

Although I carry the surname STEADHAM, the surname DENNIS is the next closest
to me as my mother is a DENNIS!

Here's what I have:

There was a John DENNIS who had 2 sons: a Benjamin DENNIS and a John DENNIS.
The son Benjamin had a wife named Esther PRESTON b. 1792, p. Boston, MA; d.
1876. Benjamin and Esther (PRESTON) DENNIS had 7 children who were:

1) George Nelson DENNIS b. 1818, p. Boston, MA; m. 31 Dec 1841 Serepta Polly
TIFFANY b. 1824, p. NY. Serepta was the daughter of John Flavel TIFFANY and
Phoebe GILBERT.

2) Amanda DENNIS, m. to Alex MEYERS.

3) Charles DENNIS, m. to Malvina.

4) Norman DENNIS, m. to Maria HITCHCOCK.

5) Julia DENNIS.

6) Aaron DENNIS, m. to Nattie.

7) Mary Ann DENNIS, m. to Newton PARKER.

George Nelson and Serepta Polly (TIFFANY) DENNIS mentioned above were the
parents of 8 children who were:

1) Alonzo Lorenzo DENNIS, b. 1847, p. WI.

2) Ambrose DENNIS, b. 1849, p. WI.

3) Adelbert Leondo DENNIS.

4) Warren Riley DENNIS, b. 11 Oct 1851, p. Rutland, WI; d. 1 Feb 1890; m. 4
Mar 1878 to Elenory Viola BRAINERD, b. 30 Jun 1855, p. Fennimore, WI; d. 27
Dec 1925, p. Fergus Falls, MN. Elenory was the daughter of Nehemiah BRAINERD
and Julia Ann PARKER.

6) Clara Amanda DENNIS.

7) Julia Adda DENNIS.

8) George Fred DENNIS.

Warren Riley and Elenory Viola (BRAINERD) DENNIS mentioned above were the
parents of 4 sons who were:

2) Fred DENNIS, b. 4 Jan 1881, p. St. Paul, MN.

3) Robine W. DENNIS, b. 2 Apr 1887, p. St. Paul, MN; d. 15 Feb 1888.

4) Walter Riley DENNIS, b. 3 Mar 1889, p. St. Paul, MN; d. 18 Apr 1961, p.
Sacramento, CA; m. 19 Jun 1913 to Ethel Lavina GARDNER, b. 3 Jul 1889, p.
Dassel, MN; d. 16 Aug 1943, p. Minneapolis, MN. Ethel was the daughter of
Peter L. and Sarah Montana (ARROWOOD) GARDNER.

Walter Riley and Ethel Lavina (GARDNER) DENNIS mentioned above were the
parents of 5 children who were:

4) Marjorie Jeanette DENNIS, b. 17 Aug 1922, p. Fergus Falls, MN; m. 24 Jan
1954 to John Joseph BURRESCIA.

5) Dorothy Mae DENNIS, b. 15 Aug 1926, p. Fergus Falls, MN; m. 5 Jun 1947 to
Lyndell Harvey STEADHAM, b. 29 Jul 1924, p. Lodi, CA. Lyndell is the son of
Benjamin Jewel STEADHAM and Lela Mae GRIFFITH.

Lyndell Harvey and Dorothy Mae (DENNIS) STEADHAM mentioned above are the
parents of 5 children, 3 of whom are still living, one of whom is me, Richard
Lynn STEADHAM.
