Hi there listers,
Now here is a promlem with which I desperately need some assistance please>

I have discovered that a John FRANKS was landlord of the "Mallet & Tool,
Knifesmith Gate, Chesterfield DBY. in 1829.

My questions are: 1) Is the Mallet & Tool still in existence as a pub, and
what iis its present name and owners (breweries)
2. Where in Chesterfield is Kinfesmith Gate and why was it called that?
3) Does anyone have any information on this John FRANKS
I think that he may be a member of my fmaily but can't link him at present.
Everything fits but I can't find him.
Can anyone help please?
