I'm sorry, I have checked the index, but there is no name anything
like LEVESLEY (or the variants) listed in the Hearth Tax for
Derbyshire. The nearest is LEEVEING / LEEMINGE.
From "Derbyshire Hearth Tax Assessments 1662-70", ed David Edwards,
Derbs Record Society, Vol 7, 1982:-
At Derby, St Werburgh's Parish, in 1670, p.90:-
- Mrs LEEVEING - eight hearths (large house)
At Parwich in 1670, p.184:-
- Mr LEEMINGE - six hearths
