I dont know if this will point you in the right area to look, but I have the
parish records for Cotmanhay Drbys which is on the border of Drbys and Notts

Here is a marriage of a Herbert Philips a lot earlier than the one you want
but the Philips family is in this register

1865
27 Feb 1865 Herbert Phillips 20 B Miner of Ilkeston Father is John
Phillips a Miner
Frances Bircumshaw 18 S Mapperley Fathe is Joseph Bircumshaw
Colliery bailiff
Witnesses Isaac Bircumshaw Elizabeth Phillips
