Calke Abbey was built for Sir John Harpur in the early 1700s although the
family were around before that. If interested might I suggest you put Sir
John Harpur in google.com. there is an early sir Richard Harpur.

There may be some info on the chellaston pages as well.

Sadly the only Harpur in my book is Joseph Harpur 1773-1821 - too late of
course.
