Subject: JAMES and LILLY WILLSON

JAMES WILLSON was born on October 13, 1746 in Dorchester County, Md. He died
in Dorchester County, MD. (or possibly Sussex County, DE.) on October 29,
1840. About 1771 he was married to LILLY. Some researchers suggest that
LILLY'S maiden name was NEWTON, others suggest CANNON. I haven't seen any
documentation either way but have circumstantial evidence that could support
either maiden surname for her. LILLY was born about 1755 and died about
December 19, 1840 in either Dorchester or Sussex County. The couple resided
just west of Reliance on the Finchville Reliance Road (Hwy. 392) Note in a
previous posting I mistakenly stated their residence as "west of Finchville."
At the time of his death, part of JAMES WILLSON'S land holdings included
"CANNON'S SAVANNAH" located in Sussex County, Delaware.

Does anyone have any ideas regarding the ancestry of these folks?
