My greatgrandmother was Edith Murray Purnell - born 1883. She married Hermus Lee Hearn - born 1888. Their children were Marie Caroline Heane 1904, William Joshua Hearn 1907, and Mary Alice Hearn 1911. Widowed early on, she married again to Joseph Wallace Small and they had children as well.

I also have an "Aunt Mattie" Purnell and a Lily Purnell Hearn but I don't know where they go in the line.

The name construction for Edith MURRAY Purnell is interesting since there are no Murrays that I know of. But in other forum surfing I have seen a Catherine Murray Purnell way back and another that I don't recall.

My Grandmother was Mary Alice Hearn who married Clarence Alton Livingston , son of Clarence Edward Livingston, son of Peter Livingston. Peter drove the stagecoach and is later listed as a farmer.
