Thanks for your info Steve, but the John W. Gordy--my G.Father was born about 1868--married Mary E. Pusey in 1890. He was a farmer in the Laurel-Seaford area. Had only one child who lived, my father, Ira V. Gordy. Know he died when my dad was young--I was born in 1920, and he was dead before that. Remember seeing a picture of him hanging in the company parlor, but I know nothing more about him. I visited my G.Mother many summers when I was a kid, loved doing that, but also realized she had a tough time of it--making ends meet.Any help would be appreciated. D.G.G.
