Maureen:

I don't have her listed as one of Fredericus Koch's sisters, but that
doesn't necessarily mean anything. I do have a Fredericus Koch born on
April 28th 1771 (my g-g-g-g-g grandfather), son of Joannes Mauritius Koch
and Anna Margaretha Kirst. I also have 6 siblings for him:

Maria Gertrudis Koch b. 10/31/1769 in Prum d. March 1770 in Prum
Johannes petrus Koch b. 06/30 1773 in Prum
Anna Elisabetha Koch b. 02/28/1774 in Prum
Joannes Mauritius Koch b. 07/17/1777 in prum
Conradus Koch b. 07/20/1779 in Prum
Maria Catherina Koch b. 09/18/1781 in Prum

One interesting thing about the Pickards. The Fredericus Koch you
referenced, b. April 28th 1771 had a son, Nicholas Koch b. 10/03 1801. He
married a Catherine Pickard b. about 1807 (My g-g-g-g-grandparents).
Nicholas and Catherine had a son, Frederic Koch b. 04/19/1832 in Prum, who
eventually came to the states with his wife Margaretha Schott b. 10/23/1827
in Treves. She is also related to the Pickards. Her parents were Elizabetha
Pickard and Frederic W. Schott.

They didn't come directly to the states, but went through France first. My
great grandmother --thank God!-- saved absolutely everything. So I have
original birth, marriage, death, christening, etc. documents for some of
these people. Including Margaretha and Frederic's passports from France.
At the time, their passports list them as living at #17 Rue du Pont aux
Choux. I also have old pieces of business letterhead and a business card
for:

Fabrique de Bronzes
CHles Pickard & ADphe Punant
Fournisseurs Brevetes
de LL. MM.
le Roi de Portugal
et
L'empereur du Bresil
17, Rue du Pont-aux-Choux.

So there must be some relation to this Pickard business and Margaretha
Schott and/or Frederic Koch (both having Pickard relatives). It's probably
in the mounds of documents I have here. I also have numerous old letters in
German, which unfortunately I cannot translate.

Hope this isn't too confusing and may help someone.

Jen

I have Susanna Koch b. November 1763 who married Gerardus Bove ca. 1794 in
Dollendorf. Many descendents emigrated to NY and NJ.

Is she a sister of Fredericus Koch b. 28 April 1771 --- and also a child of
Mauritz Koch and Anna Maria Kist? Any help or direction will be deeply
appreciated.

Also for Jerry Daleiden: Did Pickards emigrate to Illinois from the Eifel,
and were they the founders of Pickard China in Antioch, IL?
