Dear Al,
Thanks for remembering me. Don't worry, I will pay you for your time. It is
most certainly less expensive than for me to take a trip over there. (Not
that I wouldn't love to visit)
Here are the families and the information that I know:

Conrad and Mary Krumpieper (Krumpipe? my grandmother always said that the
name translated as "crooked piper" in English) had a son, Augustus, born
8/19/1825 in Halle. Conrad died when Augustus was still a baby. In 1840,
Mary and Augustus set sail for America. Mary died in Santo Domingo where
they had been shipwrecked and spent the winter. I found reference to
Augustus visiting an older brother in America soon after arriving here. The
family never heard anything more about this brother so I don't know if he
died. I think that he must have emmigrated from home at an earlier date than
Augustus and Mary.

Rudolph Eberhard Hunsche was born to Ernst and Kathrine Hunsche of Lienen on
12/8/1812. Supposedly, there were 7 brothers in the family. In 1840,
Rudolph, along with his brother, Wilhelm and his family, and another brother,
Frederick, set sail for America on the same ship as Augustus and Mary
Krumpieper.

Well, this is the extent of what I know about these families before their
arrival here in the United States. I would love to know if I have cousins
over your way.

I visited the webpage for Lienen as you suggested and I am using one of the
pictures for my "wallpaper" on my computer.

Thank you again. I really appreciate this.
