John CROCKER and his wife, Mary (nee GILES) left Ermington, Devon, with
their seven children aboard the "Mary Ann" in 1829 to start a new life in
Hobart Town, Van Deimens Land.

Could someone tell me what is now the approximate population of Ermington.
And how might I find if any CROCKER and/or GILES families are still living
in the area?
