Greetings List,

I am researching the above surnames in the Kingsbridge, Malborough and Salcombe areas. My GGGrandfather John WEYMOUTH (B.1802) emigrated to South Australia with his family in 1838. His parents were John and Mary WEYMOUTH (nee MADDICK). Searches of LDS records and the 1851 Census indicate that his sister Alice (b.1798) married John POPPLESTONE at Stoke Damerel in 1820. Children I have located are:-

Henry Weymouth POPPLESTONE b.27-11-1825
Mary Anne b.27-4-1828
Daniel Maddock b.29-7-1834
Frances Weymouth b.13-6-1831
Alice b.1838/39

I have located John and Alice, with youngest daughter Alice, living at Fore St. Myrtle Cottage, Kingsbridge in the 1851 Census.

I would like to contact anyone who may be researching these families with a view to sharing information.
