Dear Possible Cousins-in-Law:
My wife's Disbrows are from a minor New Jersey->New York line, unconnected
with the Disbrows in question in any demonstrable way and brick-walled at
one mid-18th Century Henry, so I am probably sticking my nose wherein it
doth not belong ...
BUT ...
if the desire is to have this valuable documentary work available to future
researchers, and not merely to force the Westport Library to "do the right
thing," might I suggest that someone of this line purchase the two volumes
and donate them to that institution?
Step Tyner + Beth Hemenway (Wesley F. Hemenway < Emma Disbrow < John James
D. < Elijah Disbrough < John D. < Henry D. < ?) [Like many of us, I am
greatly indebted to Mike for his confirmation of some of this lineage.]

The hard cover book sounds wonderful, Mike. As Stephen Squires put it
so eloquently the hardbound would last for years and along with vol. 2,
be an asset to any library. Too bad the Westport library can't see to
purchase the set. I can hardly wait for Stephen's book about Mercy.
Thanks Mike, for whatever decision you make. Doris Lobe, Marysville, WA
