I can find no proof other than word of mouth, my great-grandmother was
said to be
Cherokee by part of the family and Creek by others. (Full-blooded)
Her name was Mary Franklin b. abt 1836 d.1879. She married John Jackson
b.September 1823 d. 1914. Both are buried in a Dixon cemetery near St.
George, Ga.
One Census stated she was born in Ga, another S.C.
Their Children were:
